About The Position

This is a Union position, so the expected pay range is based on Union scale for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 (MN). Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Union) in the yard/shop at Lunda Construction, reporting to the Shop Manager, you will have the opportunity to: Description: Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and diesel trucks Perform preventative maintenance following manufacturer standards Repair engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, HVAC, brakes, suspension, and drivetrains Use diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, cranes, and hoists Complete electronic service documentation accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck and work area Work safely and follow all company and regulatory safety policies

Requirements

• Diesel or heavy equipment technical training or equivalent experience
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in an active environment

Nice To Haves

• One (1) or more years of Heavy Equipment experience preferred
