About The Position
As a Heavy Equipment Operator at EMR, you’ll play a key role our daily operations at our Eau Claire, WI site. In this role, you’ll operate equipment to load, unload and transport scrap metal materials within the yard.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- Maneuver in and around equipment to inspect, operate and maintain company property
Responsibilities
- Operate material handler, front end loader and other heavy equipment safely to unload and move scrap material throughout yard
- Perform daily maintenance and inspections
- Identify and process different types of scrap metal and report load details
- Keep the worksite clean, organized and safe
- Complete daily paperwork, meet production goals and assist with other tasks as needed
