Location: Various Project Sites (Travel Required) Position Overview We are seeking experienced and reliable Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This role includes operating dozers, excavators, and finish equipment on a variety of construction projects. Candidates must be proficient with both GPS-controlled and non-GPS equipment and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment (dozer, excavator, finish equipment)
- Experience with GPS and non-GPS equipment required
- Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and site development
- Ability to read blueprints and grade stakes
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Must be willing and able to travel frequently
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Topcon, or similar GPS systems
- Previous work on commercial or large-scale civil construction projects
- Ability to work in varying weather and job site conditions
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, and finish graders safely and efficiently
- Perform fine grading, site preparation, and earthwork to meet project specifications
- Utilize GPS machine control systems for precision grading (where applicable)
- Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and project specifications
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with site supervisors and team members to ensure project timelines are met
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
