About The Position

The Heavy Industrial Gearing Product Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth by providing technical expertise, business development, and account management. This role involves developing new accounts, managing key relationships with OEMs, distributors, and end-users, and supporting both direct and indirect business through distribution channels. The engineer will also be responsible for developing the technical competence of regional sales teams to enhance their confidence in selling industrial gear solutions. This position focuses on meeting sales targets (both bookings and billings), with a strong emphasis on long-term business development, collaborating with product management, applications teams, customer service, and the service and aftermarket group. Pay Range: $115K - $160K annually Location: Texas Territory stationed near Dallas Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • Must be knowledgeable in and use of SEW-EURODRIVE engineering programs.
  • Must exhibit good logical technical knowledge skills.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all SEW-EURODRIVE employees, customers, and suppliers in a businesslike and professional manner.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a fast-paced environment with continual interruptions
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Meet U.S. sales requirements as established by management and actively grow the market for Industrial Gear (IG) products through both direct and distribution channels.
  • Act as a business development manager, identifying and developing new business opportunities to expand SEW-EURODRIVE’s footprint across existing and new markets.
  • Generate quotations based on established sales policies and provide promotional, technical, and sales support to District Sales Managers, direct OEMs, and user accounts.
  • Develop industrial gear systems based on customer requirements, performing project-related evaluations and calculations using SEW-EURODRIVE engineering tools.
  • Ensure proper technical integration and product performance to meet or exceed customer expectations.
