Requirements

  • Extensive automotive technician experience with required personal tools (pay based on experience)
  • GM Certified Technician designation required
  • Ability to read and interpret safety guidelines, operating procedures, maintenance documentation, and technical manuals
  • Flexible schedule to meet service department needs
  • Commitment to safety, including proper use of protective equipment and maintaining a clean, organized workspace in accordance with company standards
  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must successfully complete all pre‑employment screening processes.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and Plan Repairs: Inspect and identify vehicle concerns, collaborating with the Shop Foreman and Service Advisor to determine necessary repairs. Provide accurate labor and parts estimates.
  • Perform Major System Repairs: Repair and replace engines, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning systems, and warranty-related components according to specifications and timelines.
  • Conduct Road Tests: Test-drive repaired vehicles to verify that issues have been resolved and all work meets customer, manufacturer, and dealership standards.
  • Maintain Vehicle Performance: Complete routine maintenance services to support vehicle longevity, safety, and reliability.
  • Stay Current on Technology: Attend factory-sponsored training and seminars to stay informed on evolving automotive technologies and industry best practices.
