About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Truck Driver to join our team in Davenport, IA. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL license and be skilled in operating a forklift. This role involves transporting heavy shipments safely and efficiently, as well as loading, unloading, and securing shipments properly.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Proven experience driving heavy trucks.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of loading, unloading, and banding shipments.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks to transport goods to and from specified locations.
• Load, unload, and band shipments to ensure secure transport.
• Operate a forklift to assist with loading and unloading shipments.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Follow all state and federal transportation laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
