Position Overview The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our staff, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of computer systems, software, and hardware with an understanding of AEC industry-specific software and tools.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a helpdesk or technical support role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating system and Office 365
  • Familiarity with Azure and MS Defender environments
  • Familiarity with AEC industry software such as AutoCAD, other design and project management tools.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or relevant certifications is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users for hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues at all locations.
  • Maintain Windows server and desktop operation system infrastructure
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement solutions to improve system performance and user experience.
  • Conduct regular system updates, backups, and routine maintenance tasks.
  • Support AEC-specific software applications such as AutoCAD, other design and project management tools.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of computer systems and software.
  • Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures.
  • Assist new hires with orientation and office setup.
