About The Position
Job Title: Hematology/Oncology Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Cooperstown, NY Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Apr 6, 2026 – Ongoing (until full -time hire) Clinical Shift Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week (flexible schedule)
Requirements
- Active NY medical license
- Board Certified in Hematology, Oncology, or Hematology/Oncology
- Active DEA Certification
- BLS
- Hematology and Oncology clinical experience required
- Immunization record required
- flu vaccine or declination required
- negative TB or QuantiFERON Gold test within one year of start
Nice To Haves
- Bone marrow procedures preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for scheduled clinic patients
- Diagnose and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and nursing staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient encounters and treatment plans within the Epic EMR
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning as needed
