About The Position

Position Overview : The High School Engineering Intern ship will work alongside experienced engineers to learn engineering related skills and perform engineering-related tasks.

Requirements

• Graduating high school senior who is completing high school in May 2027.
• Strong interest in pursuing an engineering degree in college ; desire to be a n engineer as a professional (post-high school).
• Basic computer skills.
• Self-motivated with good organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in an industrial setting.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• M ust be at least 17 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

• Successfully completed a technical or vocational program while in high school (preferred focus: Engineering, Engineering Drafting & Design, or related field).

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced engineers to learn and practice engineering skills.
• Assist with real engineering projects, completing assigned tasks on-time .
• Evaluate data from manufacturing processes and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with other associates to understand opportunities for engineering improvements and enhancements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment following Shaw Industries’ safety standards.
• Participate in job shadowing and hands-on training sessions to develop technical skills.
• Document work performed and report issues to supervisors as needed.
