About The Position
Physics Teacher Job Description: The DePaul College Prep Science Department seeks a collaborative, energetic, and positive educator for the role of a physics teacher. The ideal candidate is a qualified and experienced teacher with the following characteristics: Values and seeks to understand the cultural and social identities of each student in their class; Ability to integrate culturally responsive practices into daily teaching; Knowledgeable of high school level physics curriculum and NGSS Standards; Knows state standards regarding proper lab safety protocols; Communicates and collaborates with peers effectively, as sharing of lab space and materials is often required; Ability to set up and safely facilitate labs to ensure that students are safe; The ideal candidate will have their secondary teaching licensure/certificate; A solid foundation in Google Classroom or other technology applications is necessary for a one-to-one classroom environment.
Requirements
- BS degree in Physics
- Illinois PEL (teacher certification)
- A solid foundation in Google Classroom or other technology applications is necessary for a one-to-one classroom environment.
