As a HS Technical Intern at BD, you will have the opportunity to help "Advance the World of Health" all while learning valuable skills that will help you as you continue your High School education and beyond. This role will give you a look into the world of Medical Manufacturing, however, your work won't take you onto our production floors. Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is seeking highly motivated high school students for a technical internship program. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional maintenance and operations environment, supporting various projects and contributing to the development of innovative medical technology.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a high school student (preferably rising junior or senior).
  • Demonstrated interest in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math).
  • Strong academic record with a focus on relevant coursework (e.g., robotics, engineering, algebra, geometry, physics, chemistry, computer science).
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • A strong desire to learn and contribute to a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist controls technicians and engineers basic laboratory tasks, data collection, and experimental setup.
  • Support the organization and maintenance of technical documentation, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform entry-level data analysis and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Contribute to ongoing projects by conducting research, gathering information, and supporting problem-solving efforts.
  • Learn and apply fundamental technical skills relevant to the assigned work area.
  • Participate in team meetings, observe professional practices, and ask questions to enhance learning.
  • lAdhere to al company safety protocols and procedures.
