About The Position
C2O Americas is seeking experienced High Voltage Technicians to perform 69kV cable terminations and testing at Golden Pass LNG in Sabine Pass, TX. This role requires strong experience in high-voltage substation and industrial environments. LNG or large-scale industrial project experience is preferred.
Requirements
- Proven experience with 69kV (or comparable high-voltage) terminations and testing
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and electrical safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications
- Ability to work outdoors in industrial environments
- Willingness to work extended shifts and overtime as needed
Nice To Haves
- Substation and/or LNG facility experience preferred
- High-voltage certifications/training (preferred)
- TWIC card (preferred or required for site access)
Responsibilities
- Perform 69kV cable terminations and splicing, including stress cone installations
- Conduct high-voltage testing (VLF, hipot, insulation resistance, continuity, and sheath testing)
- Perform cable identification, phasing, and verification
- Complete grounding and bonding verification
- Terminate cables in substations, transformers, breakers, and switchgear
- Inspect and torque mechanical and compression connections per specifications
- Support energization and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation and testing issues
- Maintain accurate testing documentation and turnover packages
- Follow all site safety requirements, LOTO procedures, and electrical safety standards
