As a primary investment area within Goldman Sachs, we provide investment and advisory services for pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, foundations, financial advisors and individuals. The Global Fixed Income and Currency team is seeking a bank loan trader at the Vice President level in New York. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the credit team and will work closely with senior managers to construct portfolios across all bank loan strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant markets
- An understanding of markets and a keen interest in fixed income and credit
- Numerical and analytical with good attention to detail
- Strong systems knowledge (Excel)
Nice To Haves
- Asset management experience an advantage but not essential
Responsibilities
- Working with credit portfolio managers and research managers to identify value and opportunities within the bank loan market
- Working with both credit and client portfolio managers to build and monitor credit risk in portfolios, including management of cash flows
- Identifying, allocating, and executing trades
- Risk monitoring and reporting
- Maintaining and improving various trading tools and the accuracy of the data they employ
- Developing and maintaining sell-side relationships
