Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Formulate and execute validation strategies for Battery Management System (BMS) controls, encompassing both hardware and simulation requirements for Hardware-In-Loop configurations. Outline the scope, methodology, and resources necessary for diverse validation activities. Collaborate with validation team engineers to review test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of testing methodologies. Adhere to validation processes consistently, with prompt reporting and resolution of issues through teamwork with other departments. Detect and address technical challenges associated with the Hardware-In-Loop bench setup and BMS software. Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures. Oversee and provide technical guidance to the Validation team which is responsible for validating all BMS control systems and conducting regression testing for every Controls Software deployed in Ford Electric vehicles. Offer design inputs and guidelines for the various tools necessary to create, maintain, and update to meet BMS validation objectives. Collaborate with other BMS department teams to adhere to software delivery timelines that align with vehicle launches and ensure timely delivery of critical software updates to Ford customers. Monitor progress on various validation tasks, provide regular updates, and intervene as needed to address technical challenges. Uphold a high standard of quality across all validation activities by reviewing testing documentation, methodologies, and bugs to ensure that accurate and comprehensive information is recorded. Maintain regular communication with the team regarding best practices and collaborate with all validation personnel.
