Diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and adjusts key systems and components of trucks and related equipment. Mid-level position – Generally has more than three years of experience and/or demonstrated job relevant knowledge/skills. A level two technician has moderate knowledge of the field’s standard and technical concepts, practices, and procedures. Level two technician performs a variety of standard, complex, and technical tasks; is indirectly supervised and self-starting; often a team member on a large project. Essential Functions: · Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission · Troubleshoots and diagnoses moderately complex engine malfunctions and failures with direction and minimum supervision · Performs thorough engine and related equipment repairs on trucks and trailers with direction and minimum supervision · Disassembles, inspects, determines parts required, and reassembles to factory specifications within TRGs · Provides quality control/assurance inspections of completed tasks to include road testing · Uses computers and related software to assist in diagnosing and reprograming engines · Completes documentation for service reports, timecards, parts requisition and returns · Interprets and utilizes information from operating, maintenance, online resources, and service manuals/bulletins · Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates · Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations · Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order · Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed · Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs · Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance · Acts as a mentor and coach to lower level Technicians · Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training · Consistently maintains an average rework of less than 1% · Ensures a positive average variance consistently · Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards · Requires regular and punctual employee attendance · Performs other duties as assigned
