Aroostook Mental Health Center (AMHC), proudly serving Maine communities for more than 60 years, is seeking a full-time BHP who is passionate about supporting children and families to join our Home and Community Treatment (HCT) Program based in Madawaska. About the HCT Program: The Home and Community Treatment (HCT) Program provides intensive, short-term, in-home services for children experiencing social-emotional and behavioral challenges. Services are delivered in the child’s home, school, and community, allowing clinicians to help families practice and integrate new skills in real-life situations. The goals of HCT include: • Helping families better understand their child’s behavior and developmental needs • Teaching caregivers effective therapeutic responses and strategies • Building natural and community supports to maintain progress after treatment • Reducing crisis service utilization • Stabilizing youth in their home environments and preventing higher levels of care Why Join the AMHC HCT Team? Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 60 higher education credit hours in a related field of social services, human services, health, or education.
OR a minimum of 90 higher education credit hours in an unrelated field.
OR a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with children in a behavioral health services program.
This individual will also need to complete the Behavioral Health Training within specific timeframes outlined in the policy regulations.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the assigned HCT Therapist to provide services outlined in the family’s treatment plan
Deliver services in client homes and community settings, including evening or weekend hours when needed to support families
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions designed to address behavioral and emotional needs
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and case records in accordance with AMHC policies
Monitor and evaluate treatment progress and adjust interventions in collaboration with the treatment team
Work closely with schools, hospitals, crisis providers, and community partners to support family stability
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and collaborative case consultations
Provide integrated behavioral health services in alignment with AMHC’s care model
Support children and families during times of crisis, coordinating with AMHC’s Mobile Crisis Services when necessary
