About The Position

The Hose Assembly Technician is responsible for fabricating, testing, packaging, and labeling various hose products according to customer and industry specifications. This role requires hands-on training, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. The technician will use various tools and machinery including hose crimpers, measuring equipment, forklifts, and lathes while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use measuring instruments (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with hose assembly tools and equipment (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prep hoses by cutting to length, attaching fittings, and assisting in fabrication according to assembly sheets
  • Receive, document, and fill orders in accordance with sales/purchase order
  • Accurately use standard measuring tools and understand NAHAD length requirements
  • Operate hose crimper, lathe, hand tools, and other machinery to complete hose assemblies
  • Operate a fork truck and/or hand truck to move material both in plant and to/from trucks
  • Follow procedures outlined in the quality manual and hose procedures documentation
  • Perform pressure tests on hose assemblies and update test log accordingly
  • Package hoses correctly based on customer and company standards
  • Create hose tags using RMI Laser Engraver
  • Print Sales Order and Transfer Tags, and complete final checklists
  • Record hose inventory consumption accurately using tape measurements
  • Delivery of hose assemblies for radiographic testing and retrieving necessary parts from suppliers when required
  • Maintain accurate and complete traveler forms and documentation during the hose fabrication process
  • Operate forklift safely as a certified forklift operator
  • Participate in hands-on shadowing and in-person training with supervisors and experienced technicians
  • Complete required product knowledge training through internal training platform, classroom sessions, and manufacturer-provided materials
