Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate, Baccalaureate, or Masters Degree in Nursing
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of one year nursing experience in a clinical care setting
- Demonstrates clinical nursing competencies in accordance with accepted standards of practice
- Able to assess and respond appropriately to the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of patients, families, and caregivers
- Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to support patients and families facing end-of-life issues
- Capable of managing multiple priorities, documentation requirements, and time-sensitive responsibilities efficiently
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Hospice or home health experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Supporting patient care needs after-hours, including urgent admissions, symptom management, and other patient needs. Think of a triage/emergency room nurse for hospice patients’ after-hours in homes, facilities, and residential care communities in your neighborhood.
- Providing positive, supportive communication to physicians, NPs, our hospice case managers, patients, and families.
