About The Position
UW Medical Center Montlake – Operating Room has an outstanding job opportunity for a temporary part-time (90% FTE) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Hospital Assistant . This position is benefits-eligible and anticipated to be up to 6 months in duration. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Work in a diverse and fast-paced environment OR CNAs clean and restock procedure rooms with supplies, remove used or excess equipment and supplies, set up exam rooms, and assist with cleaning the operating room as patients are discharged ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER - MONTLAKE Located in Seattle, UW Medical Center is an acute care academic medical center with two campuses—Montlake and Northwest. Requirements
- Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) with the State of Washington required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Six months of experience involving customer service in a healthcare setting OR six months of experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire
Responsibilities
- Cleaning operating rooms after surgical cases
- Assisting with OR set-ups
- Transporting patients
- Transporting specimens, supplies, and equipment
- Stocking supplies
- Assisting with patient transfers
