Assigned to greet visitors & guests and prepare their coffee or food menu selections. Responsible for order accuracy, customer service, and timeliness of service. Cleans all assigned work areas, including sweeping and mopping of floors and refrigerators. Re-stocks food and non-food supplies in work areas. Provides exceptional customer service while making hand-crafted, quality beverages. Take orders and make coffee, tea and other drinks to customer specifications. Operate cash register and credit card machines. Fields customer concerns or questions while working to maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages. Removes garbage and boxes from department per policy and procedure. Records temperatures of the food, freezers and refrigerators daily. Works in dish room, and cleans all necessary items daily. Sweeps and mops floors in the serving and dining areas. May be cross-trained for other positions within the department. Exhibits excellent customer service skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, Physicians, co-workers, hospital and supervisory staff. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke and calling a stroke alert overhead. Verbalizes stroke alert process. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1 hour online training.
