About The Position

Restaurant Host Position Summary: As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host plays a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable dining experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests with enthusiasm, coordinating seating, and supporting the restaurant team to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent customer services skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fast, friendly, and professional service to guests and team members.
  • Warmly greet and welcome each guest as they enter the restaurant.
  • Escort guests to their tables while engaging in friendly conversation and building rapport.
  • Accommodate guest seating preferences whenever possible, including table or booth requests.
  • Manage guest seating to ensure fair rotation between service stations.
  • Promote current specials and restaurant promotions with enthusiasm.
  • Communicate important guest information to service staff and management (special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries).
  • Relay guest feedback, compliments, or concerns to management in a timely manner.
  • Monitor restaurant activity and adjust seating plans based on business levels.
  • Identify and communicate situations that may require management support.
  • Thank guests sincerely and invite them to return as they leave.
  • Answer phones.
  • Support the team with additional duties as assigned.
