About The Position
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Develops new ways to drive clients to visit the restaurant and retain existing clients, while building new ones. Knows all the systems related to the reservation system (Yelp). Sets up the host stand and the front door. Develops a working knowledge of what’s happening in town. Is responsible for welcoming guests at the door and walking them back to their assigned table, always engaging a conversation during the walk. Is responsible to enter all reservations into our reservations management system (Yelp). Promptly responds to all phone calls related to reservations. Adheres to all established policies , procedures and guidelines. Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while multitasking in a stressful conditions. Attends and participates in daily pre-shifts and other scheduled meetings. Acts as an ambassador of the restaurant, marketing it and all products offered to the targeted customer base. Must be able to work in a fast pace and high –volume environment, in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights, sun, rain and dust; and communicate during this time, sometimes within a small area. Performs all opening and closing duties as assigned. Provide help and support to all fellow team members. Further duties not currently listed in this job description may be added at manager’s discretion
