About The Position

· Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive. · Manage reservations and walk-ins using a reservation system or waitlist app. · Seat guests in a timely and organized manner, based on table availability and server rotation. · Provide menus and inform guests of any specials or wait times. · Answer phone calls and assist with questions, takeout orders, or booking requests. · Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and front entrance. · Communicate effectively with servers, bussers, and managers to ensure smooth service flow. · Monitor dining room activity and guest satisfaction. · Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often noisy environment.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in a busy environment.
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems and POS (training provided if needed).
  • Prior host/hostess or customer service experience is a plus.
  • Must be available for weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all StepStone and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Attend required meetings.

  • Prior host/hostess or customer service experience is a plus.
