About The Position
SanTan Brewing Company is looking for Support Staff to join our team in Chandler, AZ. Located in the Phoenix metro’s East Valley, SanTan was founded in 2007 in downtown Chandler, where we continue to operate a 15-bbl brewery & restaurant in our original location. In 2013, we added a production facility with a 50-bbl brewhouse, where we package beer in both cans and draft. SanTan branched out into distilled spirits in 2017 and in 2019 expanded to include Spirit House; a cocktail-driven bar with a delicious food menu, lounge-like atmosphere and knowledgeable, approachable staff. A clear departure from the standard craft cocktail bar, Spirit House aims to demystify the world of distilling and flavor pairing through friendly education and quality service. We're devoted to uncommon quality for everyday occasions and we are looking for eager, energetic and friendly team members who share our vision! We are looking for leaders who have passion for hospitality and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position does comply with the Arizona Minimum Wage Tip Credit in accordance with AZ Statute 23-363(C): Industrial Commission of Arizona and tips cash weekly with hourly wage payouts bi-weekly.

- Have excelled as a host, expeditor, or server assistant/bar back at a neighborhood family style restaurant/ bar for at least 1 year (not night clubs or resorts)
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency, constantly evaluating work practices in the spirit of “always improving.”
- Communicate effectively and openly with team members
- Work in kitchen/restaurant environments which may be loud, hot, humid, or have wet/slippery floors
- Multi-task and follow standard operating procedures
- Bend, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
- Stand for prolonged periods
- Work indoors, outdoors, and in food trucks when necessary
- Safely work in and around confined spaces
- Regularly lift/carry heavy objects (55 lbs.) repeatedly and safely above waist-level
- Occasionally move heavy objects with equipment (165 lbs.)

- Hostess or receptionist experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Uphold company values, abide by company policies, procedures and promote a safe, positive work environment at all times
- Act as an extension of the serving staff ensuring proper cleanup after guests, opening and closing duties, and maintaining cleanliness of all work areas.
- Work weekends and holidays
- Maintain a high level of floor awareness during shift so that you may be able find all areas that require extra support to coworkers.
- Follow all required safety and standard operating procedures
- Request real time help from supervisors or other managers when needed
- Communicate and treat fellow co-workers and other members of the SanTan team with respect
- Adhere to a “Safety Always” mindset and comply with safety policies & programs
- Approach every task with quality in mind, paying attention to detail & accuracy
