About The Position
As a hostess, you will be responsible for creating a warm first impression, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from the moment guests arrive until they are seated.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and professionally as they arrive
- Manage waitlists and reservations using the host stand system or reservation software
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus
- Communicate accurately with servers and kitchen staff about guest seating and special requests
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding reservations, menu, or restaurant policies
- Monitor the flow of the dining room and adjust seating plans as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host station and entrance area
- Assist in managing guest satisfaction by handling complaints or issues politely and efficiently
- Provide support for take-out orders or other front-of-house duties as needed
