Job Summary: The Hot Deli Combo Clerk supports the Hot Deli Lead in meeting the department's sales and profit goals and contributes to a positive customer shopping experience by upholding quality standards. Hot Deli Combo Clerks are vital to store operations, often serving as the point of contact for customers. The Hot Deli Combo Clerk also assists with hot deli duties and responsibilities as needed. Essential Functions of the Position: Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including handling difficult situations and resolving customer concerns, with supervisor assistance as needed. Follow approved procedures for receiving, pricing, and stocking products to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper rotation. Prepare, package, and serve a variety of prepared foods. Maintain a clean, attractive, and friendly department to ensure a positive image for customers. Maintain inventory control to ensure freshness, product quality, and turnover, minimizing out-of-stock or overstocked items. Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy to control the level of damaged goods. Maintain clean and organized eating, serving, food preparation areas, and utensils and equipment, ensuring following sanitation, health, and safety standards. Ensure quality standards by following the FIFO (First In, First Out) methodology. Follow strict sanitation and food safety guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic cooking environment. Perform Cook I and other duties as assigned.
