About The Position

Oversees maintenance of all areas of hotel housekeeping and supervises and instructs staff.

Requirements

• Knowledge of all cleaning chemicals used.
• Knowledge of assigned cleaning equipment.
• Dependable, honest and trustworthy.
• Must have a good attendance record.
• Physically capable of pushing, bending, standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• No prior experience necessary
• No computer skills required.
• Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all areas of hotel.
• Assists Guest Room Attendants when needed.
• Trains in for room cleaning.
• Ensures all guest contact is handled in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Responds to guest inquiries in a timely, expedient manner.
• Distributes incoming supplies.
• Distributes laundry to designated areas.
• Stacks linen room shelves neatly.
• Assists in laundry when needed.
• Trains in for use of laundry equipment, cleaning chemicals and cleaning methods.
• Maintains the appearance of the hotel by light repair work, i.e. touch-up paint, plaster repair.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
