Rogers Group is seeking candidates for an Experienced Hourly Foreman for our Heavy Civil Construction Team in Cookeville, TN / Upper Cumberland locations. Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in grading and site work
  • Strong leadership, communication, and safety management skills
  • Ability to read grade stakes, plans, and specifications
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and in all weather conditions
  • Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Drug-free and able to pass pre-employment screening and physical
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. (I-9 compliant)
  • Commitment to RGI and OSHA safety standard

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and model all safety policies and procedures; conduct daily safety meetings and JSAs
  • Plan, schedule, and supervise grading, excavation, and underground utility work (storm, water, sewer)
  • Direct and support field crews in site, road, and subdivision construction
  • Perform field layout; coordinate with surveyors and engineers as needed
  • Oversee mass grading, material placement, erosion control, and sediment measures
  • Inspect job sites for sequencing, productivity, and safety concerns
  • Supervise equipment and vehicle use, including daily inspections and basic troubleshooting
  • Track employee hours, equipment time, and job documentation
  • Train, coach, and evaluate crew performance and resolve jobsite issues
