About The Position

We are a warm family of four with two active children (age 8 and nearly 5) and demanding careers, both of which we find deeply fulfilling. As business owners, our work is high-energy and rewarding, but it also means our time can feel stretched. One of us has more flexibility to be at home, while the other works more unpredictable hours. We are looking for someone who can help reduce the mental load that comes with our busy lives, allowing us to enjoy more quality time together. We value a calm, organized home space where we can relax and recharge—especially after being on the go. While we love the energy of our fast-paced lives, we want to ensure our home remains a peaceful sanctuary where we can unwind, remove stress, and have fun as a family. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized individual who can take initiative and handle the day-to-day tasks in our home. You will be someone who thrives on creating efficient systems and enjoys maintaining order. You have strong communication skills and are comfortable asking questions when needed. Patience and kindness are essential, as is the ability to work independently while remaining a reliable support to our busy family. You will be an adaptable team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain household organization systems (closets, storage, pantry, toys)
  • Reset and tidy rooms daily; prep home for cleaning services
  • Conduct seasonal swaps (clothing, décor, bedding)
  • Support packing/unpacking for travel (focus on children)
  • Load/unload dishwasher, wipe surfaces, vacuum high-traffic areas
  • Prepare and coordinate donation drop offs and pick ups
  • Maintain indoor plants
  • Track and restock pantry, fridge, toiletries, household supplies
  • Create and manage running household supply lists
  • Coordinate and manage household orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.)
  • Run errands: grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning, gift shopping
  • Plan and prep healthy meals/snacks (2x a week)
  • Prep food for school lunches
  • Shop for groceries and meal-related items
  • Clean kitchen post-prep and manage kitchen tidiness
  • Wash, dry, fold, and organize family laundry (e.g., clothing, bedding, towels)
  • Manage linens: rotate bedding, refresh towels, restock essentials
  • Keep laundry areas tidy and well-stocked
  • Provide occasional date night coverage or backup childcare
  • Maintain and refresh specific zones (entryways, garage, mudroom)
  • Organize special projects, such as toy cleanup
