House Manager & Family Assistant (with Meal Prep Support)

Sage HausBaton Rouge, LA
5d$20 - $25

About The Position

We are a busy and close-knit family of five, balancing careers and the complexities of raising three boys (ages 10, 8 and 2.5). Both parents have demanding jobs (as a company founder and a physician), which makes it difficult to maintain the balance we strive for at home. One partner works week-on-week-off shifts and the other travels roughly 10 times per year, so we need someone who can work in tandem with us when we’re home, but also step up and handle the household with ease. The ideal candidate will become an integral part of our family’s daily rhythm, helping to manage the household, support the kids, and keep things running smoothly. We would love someone who can help add routine, structure, and calmness—especially in the face of our busy schedules. Of special note is that two of our kids have Type 1 diabetes, which requires careful management, including carb counting and insulin administration. You’ll score major bonus points if you have a medical background, but we’re also open to someone who is willing to be trained to help the boys manage the ins and outs of this daily. We’re seeking someone who will not only provide reliable care but who will also become a long-term partner in managing the evolving needs of our family. This isn’t just a job—it’s an opportunity to join us as we grow and navigate this unique season in our lives. Our family’s mission is simple: to create a calm, loving, and organized home that allows us to focus on each other, despite the daily chaos. The ideal candidate is someone who is warm, proactive, and eager to engage with our children in a meaningful way. You’ll be an essential part of our household, often working directly alongside one parent to support both the children’s needs and the household tasks. Because the dynamic here is ever-evolving, being adaptable and responsive to change is key. We are looking for someone who is not only reliable and responsible but also comfortable managing the medical needs of children with Type 1 diabetes, including administering insulin (after training) and learning carb counting. You’ll be expected to step in and support homework time, especially with our oldest child, who needs patient, firm support. If you're able to confidently manage multiple moving parts—whether it's meal prep, keeping the house organized, or assisting with medical needs—this position will feel like a natural fit. A long-term commitment is essential to us—someone who is invested in our family’s success, who wants to grow with us, and who is comfortable jumping right into the day-to-day as a trusted partner. Your presence and attention to detail will ensure our kids feel secure and well-supported, while also enabling us to maintain a more organized household. You will need to be comfortable with a hands-on role and ready to work closely with us on everything from logistics to meal planning. Your ability to balance responsibility with a warm, engaging presence will make you an invaluable asset to our family. You’ll also be expected to evolve with us—whether it’s adjusting to changes in the kids’ schedules, changing medical needs, or supporting the family when one parent is traveling. We need someone who’s not just here to do a job, but who truly wants to be a part of our family’s journey, long-term.
