About The Position

A vital member of our Float Pool team, which floats between Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, your clinical expertise will be instrumental in providing exceptional patient care across multiple units. You’ll build trust in these interactions by presenting a positive attitude and by being reliable. Your success in this role comes from your knowledge to provide care to various disease processes in a variety of situations ranging from minor to critical. Rest assured, we have a robust support system in place, including team meetings, and a culture of open communication. Organizes and oversees patient care delivery during an assigned shift. Monitors and assesses current environment for smooth hospital operations. Assesses and allocates resources as needed. Provides input to employee performance. Assists in the coaching of staff members. Documents daily staffing and administrative records and maintains compliance with governmental policies and procedures. Presents documentation to senior staff. Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis. Maintains communication to patient and family members regarding care needed.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of nursing experience
  • One (1) year of leadership experience
  • Two (2) y ears of critical care or ED RN experience
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Active Nursing license in good standing valid to work in Arizona
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS)
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support card (AHA ACLS)
  • Current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support card (AHA PALS)
