Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper) - Central Prison Healthcare Complex (CPHC)
About The Position
Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor II at the Healthcare Complex at a multi-custody male correctional facility, this position is responsible for the general cleaning and minor maintenance through the facility. Work is performed under limited supervision, guided by a daily schedule for general assignments and specific instruction for special assignments. Other duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Minimizing infestation, promoting/teaching sanitary conditions including cleanliness, removal of harmful organisms, and promoting healthy surroundings. 2. Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and for keeping a record of tools for tool control inventory purposes. 3. Being available for 8-hour work shifts with some weekend rotations to be discussed at time of interview.
Requirements
- Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now must meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the "Minimum Education and Experience" listed from the OSHR class specification as seen in the next section below.
- Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job.
Nice To Haves
- Documented experience environmental service tech/housekeeping in an institution, healthcare, or industrial/commercial setting.
- Documented experience using cleaning solutions and products.
- Documented experience with housekeeping/cleaning tools and equipment.
