About The Position

Basic Function: Responsible for cleanliness and servicing of assigned area, care of cleaning equipment; efficient expenditures of soaps, and similar supplies. Position Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions. Ability to move cleaning equipment throughout the facility; ability to use up to 50 punds of force occaisionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects or cleaning equipment. Work deals mostly with objects, equipment and/or machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach. Depth perception and field of vision (peripheral) are of some importance. Turns, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches, pushes, pulls, handles, stands, walks over 75% of shift. Ability to recognize differences in sound, such as voices/noises that are loud and playful instead of angry and combative. Ability to recognize differences in sound generated by equipment or machinery which may indicate operating problems or safety concerns. Ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in vicinity and ability to cooperate and work with other employees. Ability to work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks. Basic knowledge of house cleaning devices, such as brooms, mops, etc., cleaning agents, and sanitation/cleaning requirements. Commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally. Sufficient good health to properly discharge duties. Related experience is preferred, but not necessary. Ability to comply with Resident/Patient rights, all state/federal regulatory requirements, and all company policies and procedures. Ability to attend general orientation session and attend department orientation. Submit to TB Tine Test and return as instructed to read results or provide results of current TB Tine Test in the last 12 months. Must be employable by the Texas Nurse Aide Registry (NAR) – cannot be listed on the NAR as revoked; and cannot be considered unemployable by the Employee Misconduct Registry (EMR). Cannot be convicted of a criminal offense listed in the Texas Health and Safety Code (THSC), §250.006(a), or convicted of a criminal offense listed in THSC, §250.006(b) within the five years immediately before your application date.
