About The Position

A part‑time housekeeping position is available at the historic Barksdale House Inn , located in the heart of downtown Charleston. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in creating warm, welcoming guest experiences and enjoys working in a beautiful, boutique inn environment. What This Role Offers $16/hour starting pay 3–5 shifts per week , depending on business needs Role is mornings tthrough early afternoon, sometime starting as early as 6 AM. Sundays are required A supportive, close‑knit team and a calm, guest‑focused work environment

Requirements

• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience is helpful but not required
• Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliability—especially on Sundays
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
• A friendly, professional demeanor with guests and team members

Responsibilities

• Clean and refresh guest rooms to our established standards
• Maintain common areas, ensuring the inn always feels warm and inviting
• Restock linens, amenities, and supplies
• Report maintenance needs promptly
• Support laundry operations as needed
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and guest‑service expectations
