About The Position
Make a Difference Every Day! We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Full Time/Day, Monday-Friday, Housekeeper to help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming home for our residents. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and wants to be part of a mission‑driven community—especially one focused on dignity, comfort, and quality of life for older adults, including individuals living with dementia. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Minimum age: 18
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
Nice To Haves
- Experience in housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or long‑term care
- Training or experience working with older adults or individuals with dementia
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service‑oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Perform daily housekeeping and environmental services in resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
- Clean and sanitize floors, carpets, fixtures, furnishings, walls, and windows
- Complete terminal cleaning after resident discharges or transfers
- Properly dispose of trash and infectious waste following safety and infection‑control guidelines
- Participate in resident activities and occasionally dine with residents to support community engagement
- Follow all infection control, universal precautions, and fire safety policies
- Identify and report hazards, maintenance needs, and incidents promptly
- Complete logs, assignment sheets, and quality assurance documentation accurately
- Coordinate cleaning activities with other departments to support resident programming
- Attend training sessions, staff meetings, and in‑service education as required
- Maintain a positive, professional, and customer‑service‑focused attitude
