About The Position

The Environmental Services – Floor Tech is responsible for performing duties in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures for providing a safe environment, achieved by demonstrating the principles of cleaning, disinfection and quality assurance. The Floor Tech Housekeeper performs a variety of tasks, such as dust mopping and damp mopping hallways, dining and sitting area and lobby. Floor Tech Housekeepers also do project work including but not limited to stripping and refinishing, carpet shampooing, buffing

Responsibilities

Ability to prioritize work assignments to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to clean and sanitize all assigned areas.
Ability to lift 10–15-pound buckets of water from the floor to the sink a minimum of 15times a day.
Ability to lift bags of trash or soiled linen weighing 20-30 pounds, minimum of 20 times per day from one room to the other.
Ability to push a 50-pound trash or linen hamper safely in and out of elevators and down hallways.
Ability to bed at the knees, waist and neck at least 50 times a day to allow mopping in patient areas.
Must be able to understand basic Infection Control procedures.
Ability to handle and mix chemicals safely and properly.
Must be able to respond to the paging system in the appropriate manner.
Ability to function with minimal supervision.
Ability to understand basic infection control procedures.
Ability to understand and carry out emergency evacuation, fire, and safety procedures.
Must have knowledge of all department equipment.
Will support all efforts through our Service Excellence Initiative
