About The Position

Responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations within the hotel to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role manages room attendants, lobby attendants (EVS), laundry operations (if applicable), and supervisors to deliver exceptional guest experience aligned with brand standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of hospitality service standards and guest satisfaction principles
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemical safety
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality management degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience preferred
  • The ability to attend work predictably and regularly and to be punctual.
  • The ability to work various schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business operations dictates
  • The ability to read and understand documents, drawings, and instructions (whether presented in written, oral, diagram or schedule form).
  • The ability to work with mathematical concepts and to apply concepts to practical situations.
  • The ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • The ability to perform several tasks at once.
  • The ability to follow directions or instruction.
  • The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information.
  • The ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
  • The ability to sit/stand/bend/stretch, etc.
  • The ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with the hands and arms

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems and housekeeping software preferred
  • Bilingual preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, suites, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
  • Ensure all rooms and resort facilities meet brand and quality standards prior to guest arrival
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms, and public areas
  • Supervise, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff and supervisors
  • Develop and manage staff schedules based on occupancy forecasts and business demands
  • Monitor productivity standards and labor costs to align with budget goals
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll for Housekeeping staff, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Manage inventory and ordering of linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies
  • Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and special requests
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Oversee lost and found procedures
  • Implement deep-cleaning programs and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control initiatives
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by Senior Management.
