About The Position

The Housekeeping Staff plays a crucial role in shaping the first impression for all stakeholders visiting the Alliance. This individual is tasked with maintaining the cleanliness of the building through thorough sanitization, dusting, and cleaning, while meticulously attending to every detail.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of the building community.
  • Sufficient ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to complete work efficiently, effectively, and courteously.
  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
  • Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking and frequently pulling, pushing, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive cleaning of the facility, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming all floor surfaces.
  • Sanitize and disinfect surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Clean windows and mirrors to ensure clarity and cleanliness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in restrooms by disinfecting and ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Clean and disinfect staff kitchens and dining areas to promote a safe eating environment.
  • Dust and wipe surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Collect and dispose of waste from trash containers efficiently.
  • Maintain a cleaning log to document areas that have been cleaned and inspected.
  • Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies as necessary.
  • Organize and manage janitorial storage areas for optimal efficiency.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or the need for repairs or maintenance to supervisors promptly.
  • Execute cleansing tasks and special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
