About The Position

The Summit YMCA, a branch of The Summit Area YMCA (SAY), is seeking a efficient, energetic team member to help maintain the facilities cleanliness. This position is responsible for providing a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly environment for members, guests, and employees. You Might be the Right Candidate if you: Are detail oriented and enjoy seeing tasks to completion. Are able to work independently with minimal supervision. Are friendly and can work with others effectively. Take pride in your work. Take initiative and solves problems as they occur. You have prior experience or an interest in housekeeping. What You’ll Do: Keep all areas of the facility in top shape — from lobbies and locker rooms to fitness areas and community spaces. Perform daily cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing supplies. Safely operate cleaning equipment and handle cleaning materials in compliance with OSHA and YMCA standards. Report and assist with maintenance issues when needed. Support special cleaning projects and pitch in where needed to serve our community. Model YMCA values by creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping duties.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.

  • Experience working with the public is desirable.
