About The Position

The Housekeeping Services Specialist works under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group Leader and performs hard surface and carpet cleaning procedures, wall washing, and upholstery cleaning. Processes waste and linen. Performs other support functions as assigned. Want to know what it’s like to work in Environmental Services at Holland Hospital? Responsibilities

Performs hard surface floor care.
Performs burnishing operations.
Performs scrubbing and finish removal operations.
Performs finish application.
Performs carpet care procedures.
Performs spot removal operations.
Performs damp buffing, shampooing and carpet extraction.
Performs upholstery cleaning.
Processes waste and linen in accordance with established policies and procedures. Includes medical waste.
Transports general waste from collection points to compactor.
Transports medical waste from collection points to storage room.
Transports clean and soiled linen in accordance with established policies and procedures
Performs support functions as needed.
Prepares conference center for meetings.
Performs spills clean up.
Performs wall washing and window cleaning.
Cleaning patient care areas, rest rooms, offices, and isolation rooms.
Removing waste and soiled linens.
Maintaining the housekeeping cart and restocking the housekeeping closet.
