About The Position

Housing Specialist Community Bridges, Inc. (CB I) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models. Job Summary The Housing Specialist is a specialty case management position, in addition to the roles and responsibilities of a case manager, the Housing Specialist is responsible for developing a deep understanding of community resources as it relates to securing housing for individuals served in the program. The Housing Specialist will work in the community to establish relationships with the appropriate level of intervention for the members served. This includes but is not limited to shelters, recovery homes, housing service providers, and landlords. The Housing Specialist will be responsible for cultivating friendly relationships with landlords throughout the area of service. This includes identifying new landlords and explaining the program to them, being responsive to the needs of existing landlords to ensure they desire to continue to work with the program and protecting the privacy and rights of the individual served throughout the process. The Housing Specialist works within a multidisciplinary team and provides cross training around housing options on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required.
  • Current AZ Driver's License (valid and in good standing).
  • Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record
  • Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) in accordance with A.A.C. R9-10-101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies and Procedures.
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or higher in a field related to behavioral health preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in behavioral health working in multiple settings and levels of care, including both mental health and substance abuse preferred.
  • Lived experience in recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders, homelessness, family members and veterans preferred.
