Aggressive Treatment and Relapse Prevention is a DMH funded supported housing program designed to serve 12 adults and/or families in Worcester who are homeless and have co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders. Based on Housing First principles, the program provides intensive community-based clinical outreach, and access to staff 24/7. The Homeless Initiative Program aids with locating housing, limited financial assistance, and supportive & case management services to 18 adults and/or families in Worcester. The program is funded by the City of Worcester. The Housing Specialist operates within the Housing First Principles in order to set a foundation for pursuing health and recovery goals with people served. They will also cultivate mutually respectful partnerships, set appropriate limits, and maintain a helping role with people served and family members.
