About The Position

Basic Function: Oversee the operations of the Housing Specialists and Clerks by reviewing and monitoring staff's work performance. Ensure that the staff shows continuous progress in customer service relations with internal and external clients. Essential Duties: Work closely with staff and assist them by setting expectations. Assign and monitor monthly caseload to Specialist for processing. Set deadline timeframes for work completion. Generate and monitor reports on staff performance to ensure work goals are met. Make sure staff attends program training. Follow-up after trainings to sure all staff show consistency in work performance. Provide coaching to staff to improve performance and work quality. Complete weekly report to monitor work staff completes. Assist staff to address issues concerning complications/challenges to work completion. Review and sign Intent to Terminate to ensure information is correct prior to sending information to the client. Attend hearings required Program Informal Hearing proceedings as required. Assign and assure staff completes work timely. Ensure staff adheres to CVR personnel work policy. Capable of recognizing staff's deficiencies and take disciplinary action when warranted. Hold weekly meetings with staff to discuss policy and procedure changes, issues, or concerns. Perform initial and annual evaluations on staff. Special Projects as assigned. Develop internal operational procedures which are consistent with NHA and HUD regulations. All additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Advanced communication skills in the areas of interviewing, investigation, interpretation, written and verbal communication, persuasion and negotiation.
  • Must have ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive information which has legal and personal consequences if divulged.
  • Ability to determine a solution and what method to follow based upon the transaction that needs to be completed.
  • Exercise sound and ethical judgment when acting on behalf of the organization.
  • Support and encourage staff accomplishments for upward mobility.
  • Work with staff to create a peaceful environment in the workplace.
  • Maintain a level of tolerance when speaking with or assisting the staff.
  • Establish a positive working relationship between departments and team members.
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field from a four year college or university AND At least 5 years experience in a Supervisor/Management role OR Combination of both education and related work experience.
