About The Position

HR Assistant / Front Office Receptionist – Full-Time $22 - 24 / hour Nashville, TN 37203 Hours: 7:30am - 4pm Are you an organized HR professional who enjoys both administrative work and being the welcoming face of an organization? Mural Industrial Staffing is hiring an HR Assistant / Front Office Receptionist in Nashville, TN, on behalf of a well-established consumer products manufacturer. This full-time position supports daily Human Resources operations while also managing front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced industrial environment. If you have 1–2 years of HR experience, strong HRIS skills, and enjoy structured, detail-oriented work, this could be a great next step in your career.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1–2 years of HR Assistant or Human Resources experience
  • Experience using HRIS systems (timekeeping, onboarding, recruitment)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

Nice To Haves

  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience preferred
  • Prior payroll support experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential HR files and employee records
  • Support payroll questions and processing corrections
  • Complete Form I-9 documentation and compliance tracking
  • Process background checks and onboarding paperwork
  • Assist with terminations and employee documentation
  • Track attendance points and disciplinary actions
  • Support employee relations intake as needed
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communication
  • Track applicants in the HRIS and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Conduct new hire orientations
  • Manage temporary employee staffing needs
  • Enter worker data into Paylocity
  • Submit weekly reports to staffing agencies
  • Review and approve agency invoices
  • Serve as the main front desk receptionist
  • Manage visitor check-in and office communications
  • Distribute mail (USPS/FedEx)
  • Maintain employee communication boards
  • Assist with company events, benefits enrollment, and recognition programs
  • Manage locker assignments and combination tracking
