The HR Business Partner/EHS Manager, serves as a partner and trusted advisor to leadership by aligning HR and EHS strategies and business objectives for assigned business unit/client group. The HR Business Partner/EHS Manager, working with the Centers of Excellence (COE’s), is responsible for providing HR and EHS services/solutions to employees within their business unit/client group to help drive the REV mission, which is to provide our customers with vehicles they can count on when it matters most.  This is a critical role in ensuring a positive employee experience and cultivating a productive, healthy, and accident-free workplace The HR Business Partner/EHS Manager will develop relationships within their assigned business unit/client group to gain a deep knowledge of the business across the operation from both a tactical and strategic perspective.  The HR Business Partner/EHS Manager is expected to scale with the growth of the business, lead and develop diverse teams, solve problems with creative solutions, and deliver results on behalf of our customers.

Requirements

  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Safety, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum seven (7) years' of related experience with three (3) years in experience in a managerial capacity, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations: FLSA, DOL, EEOC, HIPPA, ADAA, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, DOT, Worker’s Compensation, and other related regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • PHR, SPHR, Certified Safety Professional, or Certified Industrial Hygienist Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business to develop strong business partner relationships in order to influence and coach effective employment practices, talent, and EHS strategies.
  • Continuously identify changes, gaps, and inefficiencies in existing processes and programs; provide standardization, simplification, and improvement recommendations.
  • Develop, analyze, and monitor HR/EHS Metrics that help support the development and execution of site strategies to improve organizational health and drive the REV culture. This includes the use of data analytics to make informed business recommendations and decisions.
  • Guide leaders and employees regarding Company policies, values, HR/EHS programs, administration, and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory HR and safety standards/codes. Develop accident/loss prevention methods, procedures and programs. Oversee compliance with all EPA, state DEP, and local environmental regulations
  • In conjunction with leadership, build and drive a positive employee culture, which focuses on employee safety and retention.  Actively oversee local employee communications, roundtables, training, engagement activities, and provides right-touch HR/EHS support to the business unit/client group.
  • Oversee the business unit performance management and talent review processes while actively developing effective pipeline and succession plans.
  • Develop a workforce management plan to allow a strong partnership with Corporate Recruiting to design and execute staffing strategies for exempt/non-exempt hiring needs
  • Collaborate with business leaders to conduct EHS assessments, audits and review of the physical environment and processes to identify gaps and provide corrective/preventive action recommendations. Work with property insurance carriers to identify and manage loss control recommendations.
  • Maintain all aspects of chemical control through the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Management Program, chemical review procedure, and the facilities approved chemical list.
  • Develop implement and update environmental, health and safety practices and procedures for alignment to the EHS Excellence Management System and systemic reduction of accidents, injuries and occupational illnesses.
  • Coordinate the worker’s compensation management and return to work process.
  • Conduct employee and incident investigations and recommend actions to effectively resolve issues.  Escalate employee relations and EHS recommendations, as appropriate.
  • Coordinate all aspects of environmental compliance as it pertains to air quality (air permits), hazardous waste (RCRA), solid waste, industrial wastewater, storm water, and chemical storage including SPCC Plans, and Emergency Planning & Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA).
  • Coordinate and ensure compliance to the DOT and FMCSA regulation requirements for on-road truck operations and shipping of hazardous materials/wastes.
  • Define, manage, and successfully implement change management processes and practices with a focus on REV Behaviors and Values.
