We are searching for an HR Clinic Services Representative with the Texas Children's Employee Health clinic at the West Campus - someone to initiate and coordinate a variety of duties as they relate to the successful operation of the HR Clinic(s), which includes providing direct patient care as a Certified Medical Assistant. Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • A Certified Medical Assistant IS required in one of the following certifications: CCMA - Cert-Cert Clinical MA - CCMA National Health Career Association (NHA) CMA-AAM - Cert-Cert Medical Assistant American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) CMA-C - Clinical Medical Assistant Certification American Medical Certification Association (AMCA) EMT - Emergency Medical Techn Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-A - Advanced EMT Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-B - Emergency Medical Techn-Basic Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-I - Emergency Medical Techn-Interm Texas Department of State Health Services EMT-P - Emergency Medical Techn-Parame Texas Department of State Health Services LIC PAR - Lic-Paramedic Texas Department of State Health Services NCMA - National Cert Med Assistant National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) NRCMA - Nat Reg Cert Med Assistant National Association of Health Professionals (NAHP) RMA - Registered Medical Assistant American Association of Medical Personnel, American Allied Health, American Medical Technologists, or American Registry of Medical Assistants
  • 5 years administrative or clinical experience required

Responsibilities

  • Assists employees with Clinic issues and questions
  • Screens all incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner to provide the best utilization of the department’s time by assisting employees with accurate information
  • Refers employees to appropriate Human Resources staff member for further assistance when necessary
  • Obtain information necessary to respond to an Employee’s needs. Contacts appropriate HR staff and obtain necessary information to resolve employee needs within 48 hours of employee’s request
  • Performs patient registration procedures as needed per department process
  • Ensures that all necessary patient forms are provided and completed before the clinic visit
  • Schedules new or follow-up appointments when required for patients, confirms appointmnts, verifying patient demographic information
  • Coordinates with other Employee Health/Wellness staff the provider’s schedule on an as needed basis
  • Coordinates, analyzes and distributes various miscellaneous reports as assigned. Ensures accuracy of reports by reviewing and verifying data
  • Facilitates, communicates and works closely with team members to initiate and implement projects that deal specifically to the operations and functions of Clinic
  • Schedules meetings for department as required by leader or staff members
  • Collect and document vital signs, BMI, height/weight, and reason for visit with complete accuracy
  • Call in and/or send electronic prescription refills as directed
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations, and testing as directed by the provider
