Overview: The HR Communications Intern supports internal communications and employee engagement across the company. This role offers hands-on experience creating content, helping run company initiatives, and supporting Employee Resource Groups.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Marketing preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, development, and execution of companywide communications.
  • Draft awareness messaging, educational materials, email campaigns, and intranet content.
  • Assist in coordinating event logistics and ensuring timely rollout.
  • Partner with HR and benefits teams to promote Wellness Week programming and engagement activities.
  • Develop pre- and post- Town Hall communications, including invitations, agenda summaries, and recap messaging.
  • Coordinate messaging alignment across departments.
  • Collect and organize employee-submitted content.
  • Ensure timely delivery of celebratory communications.
  • Assist ERG leaders with messaging, event announcements, and communications consistency.
  • Help maintain visibility of ERG activities across company communication channels.
  • Draft and format organizational announcements, leadership updates, and program communications.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with company voice, culture, and brand standards.
  • Draft, edit, and format internal communications including emails and intranet posts.
  • Post and update content on the company intranet (SPARC), ensuring information is accurate and timely.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, talking points, and support materials for HR initiatives.
  • Coordinate messaging timelines for events, programs, and organizational updates.
  • Track project milestones, communication schedules, and deadlines using Excel and shared planning tools.
  • Organize and maintain employee recognition content and communication assets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Marketing, and other departments to gather content and ensure message accuracy.
