About The Position

At Peak, we believe people are the foundation of our success. We are seeking an HR Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive employee experience by supporting day-to-day HR activities, including onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and compliance support. The HR Coordinator works closely with the HR Business Partner and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and accurate HR operations. This position offers an opportunity to develop foundational HR knowledge and grow within the Human Resources function through hands-on experience, training, and mentorship.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an HR, administrative, or coordinator-level role required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ability to adapt, learn quickly, and grow professionally in a fast-paced HR environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and responding to basic employee inquiries.
  • Support leave of absence processes by tracking requests, maintaining documentation, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork, system access, and orientation logistics.
  • Process routine employee data changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations in HR systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, referring complex issues to the HR Business Partner.
  • Assist with employee relations matters by gathering information, documenting issues, and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Support compliance efforts by assisting with audits, reporting, and required documentation.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Actively participate in training, cross-functional learning, and development opportunities to build HR knowledge and skills.
