Requirements

  • Associates Degree and two (2) years' experience in human resources, hospital or closely related field and/or setting OR
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent (GED)) and four (4) years' experience in human resources, hospital or closely related field and/or setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers and computer applications, including spreadsheet and database usage.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision-making ability.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Prior administrative experience in a hospital or closely related setting.
  • Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the verification and approval of credentialing documentation for agency and contract staff, licensed independent practitioners, vendors, allied health and nursing students, and volunteers to assure compliance to the standards of accreditation and regulatory agencies, the state and Northside Hospital policy.
  • Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system(s) and related applications; including but not limited to compliance related administration, data entry, reporting and reconciliation tasks.
  • Monitors and tracks all reports and communications generated by the credential management system(s) and related applications.
  • Performs random and/or scheduled system(s) and file audits of license, registration and certification compliance.
  • Conducts regular system(s) and file audits to ensure compliance with Human Resources standards for maintenance of required documentation for employees, agency and contract staff, licensed independent practitioners, vendors, allied health and nursing students, and volunteers.
  • Conducts system and file audits of license, renewal and certification compliance.
  • Proactively and collaboratively work with NSH staff, leadership, and other entities to resolve issues related to credentialing compliance.
  • Assists school/institution and vendor company personnel with orientation to and navigation of the applicable credential management system(s) for credential file upload and review.
  • Creates and implements standard operating processes and procedures for verification and credentialing.
  • Participates in and coordinates special projects, as assigned.
