The P FP HR FINANCE Department of the P VP HUMAN RESOURCES Division at Hawaiian Electric Company has 1 Management vacancy available.  (Role: Professional) JOB FUNCTION: Supports Human Resources with evaluating information gathered from multiple sources and decomposes high-level information into details. Provides financial reporting and technology support to the process area to maximize the quality and delivery of HR programs and services in support of the overall Company strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems. Knowledge of SAP and UI Planner is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR systems, including but not limited to SAP/SuccessFactors and related applications.
  • Excellent understanding of application data, reporting, data curation, and data analytics.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools; e.g., Power BI, SQL, Tableau, and Office for Analytics.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge level of Microsoft Office applications (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, etc.)
  • Familiarity or ability to learn the PUC regulatory process in Hawaii
  • Familiarity or ability to learn utility accounting, finance, and rate-making principles
  • Familiarity with applicable state and federal financial regulations and laws
  • Ability to learn company specific software applications and databases
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take complex technical concepts, statistical data and industry specific information and write comprehensive documents that are easy to read and comprehensible by all audiences (public, regulators, legislators or other interested parties).
  • Demonstrated excellent written, oral, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with all levels of Company personnel, regulatory commission staff and Consumer Advocate staff, is required.
  • Ability to remain flexible in a demanding work environment and adapt to rapidly changing priorities and assignments.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy, confidentiality and professionalism in a fast paced, demanding work environment.  Ability to remain flexible and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Several (5-7) years experience in data analysis, business process improvement, and business process automation with one to three years experience in the area of HR functional administration and/or end-user HR functions.
  • Several (3-5) years of project management/process improvement experience that includes development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • Several (3-5) years of human resources administration generalist experience, employee benefits and employee database experience, highly desired.
  • Several (3-5) years experience with HR systems preferably SAP or Oracle.
